Welcome Michelle and Peter
Meet the new additions to the Pargo team: Peter de Beer and Michelle Pillay. Peter is a cool, calm and collected high performer, both inside and outside of the office. He joins Pargo as a Project Manager.
Michelle has been a go-getter since the tender age of 15. Her expertise are rooted in sales, with a decade of professional experience in the industry. She joins us as a Senior Business Development Manager. Learn more about these two in the interview below:
ABOUT MICHELLE PILLAY
1. Please tell us a bit more about your career highlights?
I’ve been in the sales game since the tender age of 15, being fortunate enough to work with a global beauty brand, lead the largest African power and energy conference, as well as manage an African portfolio of accounts for a global market research and consulting firm.
2. What are you looking forward to in your new role with Pargo?
Walking the treadmill! Jokes aside, I am looking forward to learning more about the tech and innovation space as well as being connected to the growth story we are creating in Africa
3. Can you tell us some fun facts about you, special talents, a unique hobby?
I am a board member of an organisation called Dream Girls Academy. I am extremely passionate about the youth and creating opportunities for our next generation. I am an adrenaline junkie and enjoy travelling – anywhere!
4. What gets you in the zone to get work done?
A 90’s R&B playlist, a good cup of coffee and an office dance off!
ABOUT PETER
1. Please tell us a bit more about your career highlights?
Career highlights include working in high-performance autonomous environments and with committed professionals.
2. What are you looking forward to in your new role with Pargo?
For me, the role brings a very new type of opportunity, where one is able to have an immediate impact on value creation. The unchartered landscape wherein Pargo operates, creates a very unique set of challenges to be embraced.
3. Can you tell us some fun facts about you, special talents, a unique hobby?
No real special talents, unfortunately. I enjoy spending time doing outdoor activities, running (slowly) in the mountains, or ocean swims to revitalize and relax.
4. What gets you in the zone to get work done?
For me, I enjoy an engaging environment whether that is speaking to colleagues or to clients discussing key challenges and working towards solutions. If I need to deep dive: noise-cancelling earphones. Coffee is medicinal!
