Clicks stores to offer Pargo’s click-and-collect delivery solution
CapeTown, September 28th, 2016 – Pargo and Clicks Retailers, today announced a partnership that enables online shoppers to collect and return their purchases in Clicks stores throughout the country. Shoppers will be able to buy from online retailers such as Spree, bidorbuy and OneDayOnly and collect their parcels from over 500 Clicks stores. The partnership allows Pargo to grow their network of pick-up points to over 1000 stores.
Pargo’s alternative delivery service, better known as click-and-collect, was launched early 2015 by Lars Veul and Derk Hoekert in response to the growing South African online landscape and lack of available delivery options. “Delivery is recognized world-wide as the key friction point in ecommerce and a major deterrent to the growth of internet-based economy” says Lars Veul. “This is especially true in the South African environment where local online shoppers are often forced to make a difficult decision between the deteriorating postal service and pricey couriers.”
With this in mind Pargo has developed a service that that will provide the most cost effective and convenient delivery service for online shopping in South Africa. With Pargo already operating parcel points at trusted retail chains like Freshstop at Caltex, Waltons and 7Eleven, the addition of these Clicks stores will only strengthen this already extensive network. The partnership with Clicks gives consumers the chance to choose a collection point that suits their needs anywhere in the country.
Clicks, South Africa’s leading health and beauty retailer, has identified the Pargo solution as a valuable addition to the variety of services they provide to their customers. Vikesh Ramsunder, Clicks COO explains “we know shoppers are busier than ever and are looking for greater convenience and ease in everything they do. This new service will help them make best use of their time by removing the need to wait at home for a parcel to arrive.
Parcel pick-up is just another way we are able to help our customers with convenient solutions that suit their individual lifestyles.”
Online retailers use Pargo to save costs and improve their service proposition. Maurits Vermeulen, director from participating online store OneDayOnly, added Pargo as a delivery option to his site last year and has seen a big increase in the number of customers that use the service. He says “click-and-collect is a fantastic opportunity for us to not only offer a more convenient way to shop for our current customers, but opens us up to an entirely new retail channel.” He adds “we now service customers that know that they are not at home to receive a delivery and there is a chance that these customers otherwise wouldn’t have placed their orders.”
Pargo is constantly growing its network. Businesses interested in partnering with Pargo can get in touch via info@pargo.co.za. For media enquiries or interviews, contact Lars Veul on 084 789 8859.
