What can I send using Pargo?
Prohibited list (What Pargo won’t carry)
- Tobacco products of all descriptions
- Alcohol products
- Credit Cards
- Pre-paid cards
- Precious Stones
- Treasury Notes
- Patterns or manuscripts
- All Live Stock
- Any liquids
- All toxic substances
Further to the above, Pargo will not compensate you for loss, damage or late delivery of: Excluded items (but what Pargo will carry)
- Badly Packaged goods
- Antiques (objects over 100 years old)
- Perishable food
- Perishable goods
- Items made of or containing glass
- Furniture (unless flat packed)

What size and weight parcel can I send with Pargo?You may send a range of parcel sizes between 0kg's to 15kgs, parcels will be weigt will be decided by either the actual weight or the volumetric weight, whichever is higher.
Can I change the drop off point and/or the collection point?You may change either or both locations prior to dropping off the parcel, please contact Pargo to assist.
When can I expect my parcel to be delivered?Delivery can take up to three business days from the day that Pargo collects your parcel. Add an additional two days for delivery to outlying areas.
When will my parcel be collected?The receiver has up to 8 days to collect the parcel, once collected you will receive a confirmation of collection.
How long do I have to drop off my parcel?Your Pargo order will stay open on the system for up to a maximum of 30 days, thereafter you will have to contact Pargo should you wish to use.
How will I know when my parcel is ready for collection?You will receive SMS and/or email notification as soon as your parcel has been delivered to your chosen Pargo parcel point and is ready for collection.
How long will it take for my parcel to be ready for collection?Delivery can take up to three business days from the day that Pargo collects your parcel. Add an additional two days for delivery to outlying areas.
What do I need to bring to collect a parcel?All you need is your ID and the Pargo Code for that parcel. You will receive a unique Pargo Code in the sms and/or email that informs you that your parcel is ready for collection
What is the pargo code?This is a unique and random security code that you receive by sms and/or email at the moment the parcel arrives at your preferred Pargo parcel point. You will need this code to collect the parcel. Without it, you will not be able to collect.
I have lost my pargo code. what should I do?The Pargo Code can be found in the sms and/or email notification that informs you that your parcel is ready for collection. If you have lost your Pargo Code, please contact us to receive a new code.
I received a notification that my parcel has been delivered but they can’t find the parcel at my pargo parcel point.Are you at the correct Pargo parcel point? Please check the collection address you received via SMS and/or email to confirm you went to the right Pargo parcel point. If you visited the right pickup point, please contact us.
My email address or phone number has changed.Please contact Pargo and provide us with your new contact details. Without your details Pargo is unable to notify you that your parcel is ready for collection.
Can someone else collect my parcel?Yes. The person collecting will have to bring your ID (or a copy) and unique Pargo Code.
How many days do I have to pick up my parcel?Pargo holds the parcel for 8 days from the moment you receive your sms/email notification. If you have not collected your parcel within 8 days, it will be returned to the sender.
Can I change my pargo parcel point?Unfortunately once the parcel has been handed over by the sender we cannot change the collection point.
Are your pickup points still open during lockdown?Yes, during the lockdown, businesses are to close operations unless they provide essential goods and services. These essentials are involved in the distribution of food, basic goods, medical and hygiene products. As a distributor of essential goods, Pargo has been exempt from the lockdown and will remain operational in order to deliver across South Africa.
Are your pickup points still open during lockdown?As essential goods and service providers, pharmacies, supermarkets and petrol stations are exempt from the lockdown and will remain open for parcel collection. Exempt pickup points which remain open include Clicks, Caltex and Spar. To see whether your chosen pickup point will remain open, please consult our map here: https://pargo.co.za/find-a-store/
Which hygiene measures are put in place at pickup points?The health of customers remains imperative, and strict hygiene protocols for pickup points are in place. This includes the frequent cleaning of stores, the continuous use of wipes and sanitisers and self-isolation of staff members who show symptoms.
Which hygiene measures are put in place at the couriers?Strict hygiene measures remain in place. These include the use of fresh gloves and masks, frequent cleaning of trucks, as well as testing and self-isolation of anyone showing symptoms of the virus.
Will my parcel still arrive during the lockdown?Yes. Your parcel will arrive and you can collect it from your pickup point during lockdown.
My pickup point is closed. When will I be able to collect my parcel?Should you have any parcels which need collecting from a Pargo Pickup Point which remains closed during lockdown, please collect before Thursday to avoid it being returned back to the supplier. Any parcels that are not collected will be available for collection for 8 days after the lockdown ends.
