Pargo is ready for your Black Friday deliveries!

Pargo is geared up and ready to go this Black Friday. With more than 40% of the South African population already shopping online, Black Friday will give online customers the chance to benefit from great deals in the comfort of their home.
However, this means that insecurities surrounding deliveries will prove to be an issue for some customers. Thankfully missed deliveries, excluded customers due to inaccessible areas, and delivery delays are now problems of the past thanks to Pargo’s Click and Collect delivery!
Both new and returning online shoppers can thoroughly enjoy their Black Friday online shopping knowing that Pargo has prepared for the additional influx of orders and deliveries. Here’s how:
Perks of Pargo’s Click and Collect
Pargo’s Click and Collect allows customers the freedom to collect their parcel from Pargo’s network of over 2500 Pick-up Points. Covering more than 87% of South African postal codes, Pargo Pick-up Points are accessible to all.
In partnership with major retailers like Clicks, Lewis, Spar, FreshStop at Caltex, and many more, there’s a Pick-up Point for all that ensures a 100% delivery rate. The Pick-up Point keeps customers’ parcels safe for eight days and allows them to coordinate their festive shopping with their collection.
Customers will be able to collect their parcels at a time that suits them (including over weekends – with some Pick-up Points open 24/7).
Black Friday and festive Preparation
Pargo prides itself on their customer-centric parcel Track & Trace technology. Updating their customers at each touchpoint of their parcel’s journey, customers are kept in the loop throughout the delivery process via SMS and email notifications.
“Parcels that are sitting too long in certain stages are escalated and investigations take place proactively instead of waiting for a customer query. Every time a parcel is handed over, it is scanned. This allows us real-time tracking, which ultimately ensures that we don’t lose parcels,” said Pargo’s Head of Operations Lionel Shap.
Pargo has also increased their support staff by 15% to accommodate the predicted influx of delivery-related queries during the busy November and December months.
In preparation for Black Friday shopping, Pargo has made big improvements on their network, processes, systems and staff throughout the year for a quality assured service.
“We have moved our back-end server to a larger platform, migrated our major partners to a new back-end Pargo system and updated all the Pick-up Point scanning devices and software during the winter months,” said Pargo co-founder Derk Hoekert.
Pargo Sweepstake
Alongside the Black Friday preparation, Pargo has launched a popular Black Friday sweepstake that has brought customers together in sharing their best Black Friday deals. Customers who finds the best deals stand a chance to win one of two R1000 shopping vouchers!
